You can now redact personally identifiable information from studies.

To start, in the study editor, click the gear icon and toggle on Redact PII before you field. It only works on new responses.

Redact PII swaps names, contact details, addresses, and company names for placeholders like [NAME].

The feature has limitations. It redacts PII from interview responses, but not visual PII that may appear during a screen share or in the background of an interview video. Always confirm PII is fully redacted.
